Machine Shop Technician

THE ROLE

As a Machine Shop Technician, you will be responsible for: 

  • Assisting the Production Manager in a variety of manufacturing tasks

  • Manufacturing components to engineering specifications

  • Tracking, recording, and documenting of work orders

  • Maintaining a high level of workshop safety

  • Material inventory management

  • Tool upkeep and management

  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment

Criteria - Required

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Familiarity with the safe use of hand and power tools

  • Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance. This requires candidates to be Australian citizens

  • General fabrication skills

Criteria - Desired

  • Experience with lathe operations, welding, or composites manufacturing

  • Experience working with international standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ASME Y14.5

  • NV1 Security Clearance (preferred).
