Propellant Processing Technician (Goondiwndi)
THE ROLE
As a Propellant Processing Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the handling and processing of various propellants and related products. Your duties will include precise chemical handling, proficient equipment operation, and strict adherence to safety protocols and manufacturing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and promptly escalate any safety concerns.
Accurately handle, weigh, transport, and store chemical ingredients.
Safely manage hazardous materials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).
Conduct basic assembly and testing using mechanical and electronic tools in a production setting.
Efficiently perform equipment check-out, operation, and maintenance.
Set up and operate equipment according to SOPs.
Follow process steps as outlined as part of manufacturing and mixing processes and procedures
Ensure end products meet quality standards and production deadlines.
Collect and accurately record written and electronic process data.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues productively.
Criteria - Required
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
Preferably experienced with hazardous chemicals or energetic materials.
Ability to understand and follow technical documents and safety rules.
Willingness to work in various conditions with accommodations.
Compliance with company safety policies.
Successful completion of respirator fit test.
Positive attitude and teamwork skills.
Physical capability for standing, lifting, and performing manual tasks.
Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance. This requires candidates to be Australian citizens
Criteria – Desired
Explosives handling and or manufacturing experience
NV1 Security Clearance (preferred).
